    Hartman Center Pin

This is my first post on this site; and I saw some questions and comments regarding the Hartman reel. I bought one of these and it is a little heavy, but the quality and precision of these reels is self- evident. Plus, it is made in the United States and that in it self is good. If anyone on this site has bought one I would like to hear your thoughts on it? thank you!

    Hello from West Chester!I

Hey there!Thank you for getting back to me.I will be giving the reel a test drive to see how it works in real life.I installed new ceramic bearing in it and it spins for eternity.I also uesd a dremel with a buffing wheel to spin it at warp speed. No balance problems at all.I thought it was going to fly like a helicopter.Have you been in the chaos on the river?I am going up in nov.for Eight days for steel and trib.browns.I hope to repeat the banner week I had last Nov7.to Nov.15th.I like the caliber of sportsman that seems to be on the water this time of year.I have a real problem with slob fisherman.i think the caliber of fisherman is of better ethics.Going up there in slasher seasons just gets me angry, not the reason to go.I like to catch the fish and love to watch them swim away!

yeah, you'll always encounter some crazed folk during the salmon run no matter east or west US... it just does something to the brain... sorta like hanging prime rib, roasted corn and baked potato smothered with butter, sour cream & chives in front a person... sooner or later CHOMP..... As for the November-December steelie crowd, they're serious folks... Then there are the frigid January-February dudes, they're serious but obsessed too.... ya gotta admire those folks using spray cans of Pam to keep the rod guides from freezing up when it's 5 degrees outside...
