    About bigfoot

Since on of the threads talked about big foot I got a true story to tell.

About three years ago I was trout fishing in NJ at night, it was about 3 A.M.

I hiked about 400 yrds from the parking area to my spot and started fishing. About a half hour later I heard this screen of sorts. Now I grew up in pa and have traveled out west a bit. I've heard elk, mountain lions, deer, cats wolves, and all kinds of other critters yelling.

Well this sound was like nothing I ever heard before. So I did what every red blooded american with out a gun would do and ran like hell back to the truck. I was scared shyteless. I asked some of my hunter friends and they had know idea what it was either.

Then last year I was watching this bigfoot hunter show and they had this recording of one screaming. I was scared again because it was the same sound.

Now I dont believe in bigfoot, but I sure enough are'nt going into the woods at night without my gun again.

    Talking

this is kinda funny and has nothing to do with bigfoot, but a few summers ago i was in england and was walking my cousins dog near a wooded lot. the dog went stiff and started growling and 2 seconds later i heard the scariest scream ive ever heard... needless to say my undies were a mess and i was pale. this continued for 2 mins with the dog going ballistic as well. on my way back, i saw a red fox cross the street... howling like a banshee.. the same scream i heard earlier. dumb animals!
I pray that i may live to fish,
    until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast,
    I then most humbly pray.
When in the Lord's great landing net,
    And peacefully asleep,
That in his mercy I be judged,
    Bright enough to keep.

Got beat to the answer on this one... As soon as I reads your description I had a feeling it was a grey fox. I used to hunt them alot with my buddies here in Pa. calling them in at night. Still remember my first hunt with them. As if a rabbit in distress call isn't enough to put shivers down your spine in the middle of the dark a Grey's "bark" is enough to push you over the edge. First time I heard one I jumped up and yelled to my buddy "WHAT THE %#$* WAS THAT?!?!?!" He said shut up and sit back down, that is what we are trying to call in!! If you never heard one before and you were in the middle of blackeness and you were all alone and had no idea what it was I can't say I blame you for hightailing it outta there.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying there in hospitals dying of nothing.

i find it kinda ironic how we are the supreme being and all, but yet most of us get scared sh1tless by things that arent even 1/4th of our size. i always feel weirded out walking in the woods alone... especially if u walk this one upriver area of the salmon river... THICK PINES and always hear crunching noises behind me... i just put my head down and walk as fast as i can.

You being from PA you may not have heard about the Jersey devil, and I dont mean the hockey team. Youd run too if your grandparents filled your head with four legged horse men with horns and yellow eyes and stuff like that.
