Don't forget the draft picks. The Chargers used one of the picks to draft Shawnee Merriman, ouch!

I'm not forgetting that. Even before he played a down, I thought the Giants and Accorsi gave up too much. We're not looking at the next John Elway here and Accorsi gave up too much remembering how he missed out on Elway. Someone should have reeled him in and if the Giants kept Rivers, we'd have the following year's first round pick and maybe they would have a shut-down cornerback or Shawn Merriman, or who knows. Whoever the GM of San Diego is, they should have gotten a raise for fleecing the Giants! All I know is that it looks like Manning's development as a quarterback has stagnated, if not ceased altogther!

Lots of quarterbacks take four or five years if not more to develope. Granted Manning has not progressed as we would have hoped but he is still very young in his developemnent. Patience grasshopperr, patience!

Patience is something that I have difficulty with, especially when I see a quarterback like Rivers who was on the bench for two years, come in and be a better leader and quarterback. I know it is not all Manning's fault and they have alot of injuries, but at this point in the season, all teams have injuries. Hopefully, they can turn it around with the Titans next week.
