Since it's getting close to that time of year I thought it would be interesting to see who wants what under the tree this year.
So....what do you want for Christmas? It can real, fantasy, peace on earth, well wishes for those not with us, anything.
I just ordered my present a few days ago....a Renzetti Tube fly vice.

I want a few things:
1.) The Cattauraugus to be fishable at some point this year before it freezes over
2.) a hackle drawer for the side of my tying desk

I'm really just hoping to get my birthday present delivered this week - a Burkheimer 13'9 8-weight spey rod. I also spent some of my own money and orderd a Ross Momentum reel with a couple extra spools to go with it.
I cannot wait to get up to the Salmon River and give it a try, until then I'll have to try it in the Sound for Stripers.
For Christmas, maybe the Pentax W20 Digital Camera. My Optio-43WR is still working pretty well, but dropping it off of a bridge on a FL trib this Spring has made me want to think about an upgrade.

TunaMas I love the flame effects that were done on your rod. I assume the flames were done with paint bands then pulled into flame effect. Perfect colors to match the blank. Good luck with it.

Welll, a few dancing girls and the fat dixie chick would make carpy smile....
Other than that a new muzzleloader brought to me by the fat dixie chick would be cool.

The grip is a cork composite that was designed for long range tuna rods. It's not much heavier than cork, and feels almost "sticky" when cold and wet. I agreed to be a "guinea pig" to see if we could get the grip turned into a spey configuration, as the handle material had never been used on a fly stick. It took a few tries, but Scott got it right!

Yes...I used to surf quite often when I was in my 20's. I have slowed down at 34. For some reason I quit skiing and surfing....I am going to give them another shot this year.
If someone can give me a few days of good conditions for fishing I would take that for Christmas  ! Ocean is a blowout again with northeast winds coming in tomorrow and gusting up to 35 through the weekend. Salmon River is still raging @ 1800 plus....and I do not want to drive up for another high water trip.....turkey, beer, turkey, beer....going to be a real productive weekend....
