View Full Version : Announcing the SalmonCrazy 2006-07 Steelhead Tournament

ATTENTION ALL SALMONCRAZY MEMBERS!

The SalmonCrazy Steelhead Tournament is here!! It will be open to ALL registered members of the SalmonCrazy community. Entry into the tournament will be FREE to all registered members for the 2006-07 season. The tournament will run from November 17th 2006 at Midnight until Sunday, May 13th 2007 at midnight. Below are the rules on how you enter and participate.

This tournament will be a contest FOR the community… BY the community!

RULES
- Open to all registered SalmonCrazy members in good standing
- Fish must be caught in any of the Great Lake tributaries
- There is no entrance fee for the 2007 season
- Tournament begins on November 17th 2006 at 12 midnight
- Tournament ends on May 13th 2007 at 12 midnight
- Photos will be uploaded to the 2007 SalmonCrazy Steelhead Tournament category in the gallery
- Administration and Staff cannot enter the Tournament
- The SalmonCrazy staff will pick the largest fish to be voted on by the SC community.

YOUTH DIVISION New for 2007

- Youth division will be part of this years Steelhead Tournament. Same rules apply except you must be 15 years old or younger to enter. There are separate prizes for the youth division.

- Each entry photo will have to be accompanied by the small pdf banner that can be downloaded and printed below. This is to be printed on a standard 8.5” X 11” piece of paper in order to confirm that the entry was taken in this season and also to help in judging size.

- All updates and discussion about the Steelhead Tournament can be found in the new 2007 Steelhead Tournament section of the Contests and Events forum.

- In order to get verification and scale with your photos please have your photographer stand exactly 6 feet from you when taking the photo. MAKE SURE THE SalmonCrazy BANNER is included and CLEARLY visible in your photo to verify its integrity. If you are alone the 6 foot distance still applies.

Click the link above to download a .PDF of the entry banner. Print this out on a standard 8.5" X 11" (Letter Sized) piece of paper. Carry this with you at all times cause you never know when you may land that pool winner!

- Upload your pics to 2007 SalmonCrazy Steelhead Tournament in the Photo section.

PRIZES

- Prizes will be awarded to the top entries that will be chosen by the Salmon Crazy Community. This year we will have a Youth division. See rules for details.

We are going to give everyone a shot at winning something this year again!!! We have a Winter Steelhead Trip from Get the Net Guide Service that will be up for grabs to the largest steelhead landed in the Adult Steelhead pool!! Also for the Youth we have a trip from The Trophy Angler (http://www.trophy-angler.com)up for grabs for all youth participants! So get your kids on the tribs!!
We have a Winter Steelhead trip or a Walleye trip (Winners Choice) from Gottum Guide Service (http://www.theriverguide.com/). This one will be raffled off. Everyone in both tournaments will be able to go for this one! Winner will be picked out of a hat at the end of the tournament. Everyone will be eligible except the first prize winners. They have trips already! :D

Finally we have something for everyone to go for.
2 RAFFLE PRIZES!!
Gottum Guide Service Donated a Winter Steelhead trip or Spring Walleye trip to be put up for raffle.
JStreamside is Donating a custom built Fishing rod, any application the winner wants!! Will also be put up for raffle.

Just to let you all know if you win one prize you are not elegable for a second. We want to give everyone a fair shot!!!!!

what's considered a "Great Lake" other than ontario? erie, etc?

gottum's trip will be raffled off. does a bannered fish qualify you? or is it for all SC members in good standing, even if you don't banner one?

There are 5 great lakes, pick your poison.

As for gottum's trip banner your fish and enter them. That is what will qualify you.

you ever notice how few poeple can tell what 6' is and how the tendency is to put the banner on there body or there mouth but to hold the fish out away from the body and closer to the camera. I think fisherdudecny has the right idea the fish on the ground laying next to the banner then they are both on the same plane. May not be 6' but the pics will be closer to equal if the object is close to the banner not 2' closer to the camera. :D

I was just saying that those three will be able to determine if the pic complies with the rules by just looking at it
