Here's another picture my son in law sent of that monster pike. He also copied this off the site regarding the picture. "Once again, Ontario lakes produce a Monster Northern Pike that is just mind boggling. This monster pike was caught between Atikiokan and Rainy River. The pike was 54 inches and weighed in at 44 pounds. This was the info that i was lookin for and Mike you were dead on with that weight man" I'm trying to get the link to the web site.

Has to be bigger than 44lbs !!! Imagine a 30# salmon... this one is almost double if not more !!!

Remember, muscle weighs more that fat, and that fish looks like a fatty. Its also may be bloated due to undigested ducks in its belly.....

I've heard where Duck Meat is used for trolling before. Wait A minute, thats a totally different kind of "Trolling":D Wish we had bigger northerns around here, most are the 3# nuisance type. Lots of em, but not a ton of big ones.

The thing is when i see pictures on the net i think thats a normal size fish in canada but that fish is big!!!

I'd bet it's real-
the US record is- 46lb 2oz., 1940, Sacandaga Reservoir, NY

Thats probably the largest NP caught since the NYS record of 46 lbs back in 1946 I believe. That is truly a catch of a life time!

Now that would get some attention!!!! Let us know how they track when you troll them.LOL

That fish is real and at 54 inches and 44 lbs that is heavy for a pike that length.
