Can anyone tell me a good trib to play around with some steel, mudsharks and at the same time stay away from the crowds. New at steelhead fishing so I want to be some were with room so I don't get in anyones way, while learning this game. I will be fishing with an 8/9 weight cortland rod with an STH reel. Good at king fishing but not at steelhead. Posted yesterday and a couple of guys told me to try sportsman and up river, just afraid I'll get in people's way while trying to learn steelhead fishing.:fishing2:

That's part of the learning curve. No one is going to give up trib names or spots over the internet unless their life depended on it. Most of thses guys, like myself, have put hundreds to thousands of miles and hours exploring to find the best tribs to fish. Get a New York Gazetteer Atlas and start your engine.
