Gentlemen - have enjoyed this forum for a long time and just got around to enrolling. Looking to head up and fish on Thurs - would like to get up river this time (tired of the $25 fee at DSR - been there 2X this yr). Anyone been to the UFZ recently? I like that spot, even though the fish are darker (they still do hit a fly and don't beat the crap out of you...I'm getting old). I'm most familiar w/water between Pineville and Altmar, so if anyone has a guess where I should be targeting this latest push, I'd appreciate it.

I will be there on Wens. If you aren't familiar with other areas beside Salmon River I can send you my cell phone, you can call me, and I can either have you meet my friends and I on some other streams or I can tell you where to go. Or, if you are still on, send me an e-mail. I grew up swimming in many of the tribs to the lake (not the river) and it's amazing how productive our old swimming holes are.

Fished the UFZ on Thursday and it was really slow. HOWEVER, before I left on Sunday we took a ride up there and spoke with a few people. Things have changed DRAMATICLY!! I would highly suggest you try it, wink wink!!! I'll be there Friday-Monday! Good luck
