I will be bringing two of my friends from college up to fish the samlon river for the first time on Saturday. I plan on taking them to the DSR. There is one place in particular I would like to take them to but it is best fished from the south side of the river. My question is, how can we access the south side of the river in the DSR? Is there a safe crossing location at 750 cfs + runoff? Parking/access from the south?
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks :fish:

The only way you can access the southside of the DSR is from the Parking lot on the Northside, unless your staying at one of the DSR Lodges..
If I were you for your groups safety with the current flow + run-off I would stay on the Northside.. Plenty of good spots in the this flow on the North bank..

Don't even think about crossing the river this weekend. The guys in the shoutbox are saying the river is going up to 2,500 this weekend. Now we can all start complaining about the high water!

Oh, okay. I thought there might be some truth to it, as when it went up to 750, I first saw it reported there. I guess I shouldn't believe everything I read, I mean I read in the shout box. Ha, ha!
