i would love to pick my team, the Cardinals, but being as they have lost 9-10 and are only 1/2 game up on the astros... i doubt it will happen. I'm picking the Mets and Twins for the big show. GO METS!

Lets go Mets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We'll do fine without Pedro. Haven't had him most of the year anyway.

The core of that team is farm raised: Rivera, Williams, Posada, Jeter, Cano and well they aquired(bought)the rest of them. Still one awesome lineup from top to bottom.

Sure isn't going to be the cubs, but there is always next year. Maybe Prior and Wood will stay healthy and we'll make a run at it.

I bet those farm raised boys would struggle to make .500 if you took those hefty acquisitions batting behind them. I will agree with you though.. its a scary lineup... 1-9, but I dont think they will take the WS.

The Mets bought a lot of there team too--Pedro, Beltran, Delgado, Glavine, Billy Wagner, Floyd etc. you have to if you want to win. Fox says they don't want a subway series-- too concentrated of a market. Are they in control??:scared:

How 'bout Dodgers vs Yanks? Fox would have both of the biggest tv markets. Yanks in 6.

I want to say Yankees and I am going to say Yankees because I love them. But they will go as far the pitching will take them. Right now Randy Johnson isnt looking so hot (bad back) I hold my breath every time Jaret Wright takes the mound and my worst fear is him pitching the deciding game. But on the flip side, this offense crush everyone regardless of how bad the pitching is.

The YANKEES baby!!!! As for all you who cry like little babies about the yanks buying/having the highest payroll........here's a question for you all.....why wasn't anyone complaining about that in the late 80's early 90's??? The yanks had the highest payroll then too but then weren't winning so no one was crying.........GET OVER IT! Here is another question.......What is wrong with having an owner that doesn't want to lose and only wants to win? You would think every fan of other teams would want that......and don't pull the small marker crap either....how much money are the yankees alone giving to support other teams yet the owners just line their pockets and don't spend it on the team? Okay I think I said enough for now.:fish:

Actually, if you remember we played a lot better when we had O'Neil, Brocius and the others.
