My work tells me to enjoy my last trip to the salmon river this year cause next year they arent haveing any vacation days in october. Last time i checked i am here everyday the last five years. Soo WhAT we got busy before i left that is not my problem. I just find it amazing that my boss will come to me and say "what do u think about canceling that trip if we pay all the fees" well NNNNNOOOOOOO i have to take people up with me and everything. I dont understand why some people put work first over there life you only live once enjoy it while your hear and experience as much as possible not just wwork work work!!!!!

If your entitled to vacation time how can they deny it, best way to handle that is put your vacation time in advance by 3-4 months,,then they can schedule the work load..What kind of work do you do? Good luck to ya>))>

Sounds like my place here. These guys live to work. H*LL with that man! I live to get OUT of work!

The best thing you can do is talk to your doctor and tell them you have Salmon Fever and call off sick. Then get the Doc to give you a Dr's excuse. Your work cannot say a word. :D :steelhead:

There wouldnt be any quilt trip for me. If you put your vacation in that far in advance, and are entitled to the vacation time ... screw em ! ITs their problem that they cant schedule properly.

On the bright side ... if they are hurting that much because you leave..... ask for a raise because it sounds like your indespensable ! :fishing2: Now get fishing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:fish:

Sounds like they're trying to find a reason to terminate you with cause.

You start using sick days, etc or fighting over the issue they can fire you for violation of company policy.

Not sure if PA is an "Employment at Will" state or not, but it's something to keep in mind.

You may want to contact human resources and see what they have to say about that. I'm not sure an employer can not allow you to use vacation time if given notice well in advance.
