met goatball at the big O for a look. There was 4-6 guys at teh dam on the west side, Im sure there are a couple of early fish trapped in there but nothing to speakof. two guys on the highwall hadn't seen anything. There is plenty of water if they want to run but no fish in the river yet. Here are some pics of the water levels today.

the guy on the right in the pic has his hat on sideways. Year after year it seems like some new kid cut his teeth snagging on the high wall then he's the first guy to show up the following year certain he is the :censored:

Me, flynraven and chaching where there today. I picked up a king on the pin off the high wall, and we saw plenty of salmon moving up and down all afternon, including a pair of steelhead and saw one landed. And lots of big carp, we even got a pair of them

I was there at 6 with goatball we saw on break the surface in about 30 minutes. The guy on the high wall said he hadn't seen a thing most of the afternoon. Glad to hear you hit some fish though.

At 6 we where eating 5 or 6 flavors of 100 different wings at the bar.
And we saw maybe 8 fish taken by 5 or 6 guys ripping hard under the dam

Thats really not that much water... Better when its close to over the middle wall and flowing hard at the dam... When they blow the siren, the fishing is best! :D

These are usually very late in the year and unless you live in an area that they stack up in, it isn't worth checking out. BUT a small number of fish make it up the river in the lock system every year. They catch a few in small feeder creeks in the town of minetto in the LATE fall and at the next couple of dams. Usually in downtown fulton you'll hear of somebody getting a king in november. That is about 10 miles and 3 lock systems. Pretty determined fish, but the dam themselves are too high and they can't jump with the skirt at the bottom of the dam.
