I checked it out Thursday before the SC gala ... 10 smallish (15-20#) salmon could be seen up in the second ladder pool ... 2 in the lowest ladder pool ... 1 steelhead out in the creek ... also checked it out Saturday AM (gala day) ... saw one head downstream and also watched a small snapping turtle working the bottom and watched a quick pass by an otter ... the point of this is that you cannot see the fish in the morning even with decent polarized sunglasses ... too shaded in the ladder area and too much glare from the light that does hit the water in there ... try it in the afternoon ... on the other hand, it would be nice to know when they flood the holding pools :) ... I figure they don't do that until the run is on :D ... Cliff

Crap ... most likely a muskrat ... you can tell I was excited by seeing the snapper work ... I saw either an otter or mink in the barrel hole within the last couple of years ... sorry, don't keep a diary so I don't remember when ...
Also, what I saw Saturday wasn't working the water like otters do ... just a pass then up under the branches ... thanks for the question, Loren, gave me a chance to correct the brain-fade observation made earlier ... Cliff
