NFC EAST HAH!!!
And TO ..please he already got fines 2 days ago and he isn't even playing..
The cowboys should cut him and suck up their loses. He is the biggest cry baby in football.. And no I'm not an Eagles fan.. And no I don't want him for my team.. I want Randy Moss another pothead would do just fine on the Dolphins!!
But yea TO needs to go to CFL or something to get his head on right.. He is pullin this crap cause he thinks hes to good to practice to play pre-season.. to work with the team .. Bill will not stand for this crap.. I give it till week 4 and he's done!!!

gawd i know the memories of him still haunt me,, if he was even just a little less mentally ill,, he would be even greater then what he is.. just the eagles lacked anyone to really stretch the field. at the very least they will have to take note of stallworths 4.2 40

Like the Jets tried to do with Vinnie Testaverde last year. Look how well that turned out!! I remember the "mad bomber" Darryl Lamonica, Warren Wells, Fred Biletnikoff and the Kenny "the snake" Stabler. An old-time fan of the silver and black-- the toughest team in football for many years. The refs had to call a lot of penalties just to keep them from killing people. Lyle Alzado,Jack Tatum, Howie Long before he was a Fox talking Head! They have had a ton of great characters over the years. Maybe they could bring back George Blanda as a backup.........just kidding

Flythrower
08-29-2006, 01:58 PM
I have noticed a trend with the Raiders over the years. They pick up scrub QB's or QB's way past their prime......Kerry Collins (Recovering Alcoholic), Aooron Brooks (Likes the backwards pass better than the forward), Rich Gannon (Was about 50 years old when he played good), Jeff George (I have nothing good to say about that).

Jump on the Bills bandwagon, a young team with potential!! Give them 2 more years and they will be ruling the league....Allright, I am now ready for the bashing that this will inevitably bring.:banplease:

On a side note, Eagles got a real good deal in Stallworth. Now they just need a RB that has not had 2 knee surgeries or one that can make it through a season.....

NOW THIS IS WHAT I ENJOY ABOUT THE SITE... SWEET OLE BALL BUSTING WOOHOO! :D

pulaskinut... man do you bring back the good old days of the Raiders supremacy. Most was before my time but I have done enough research. In my honest opinion they should have picked up Linert in the draft.

Stacy has already started with the Giants crap :D

and the Eagles... I hope they do well. I really think the Stallworth pickup was unbelievable for them and will go a long way towards their return to the playoffs.

Keep it coming fellas. I love reading football talk!

One problem the Giants had last year was the receivers couldn't hold on to the ball. Eli's numbers could have been better if they could catch. With Brett Favre, he throws the ball so hard they seem to be afraid of it but hopefully Eli will do well this year as he matures.

That's right!!..The rest of the teams with a New York in front of them are imposters...Don'r even get me started om how bad the Jets are going to be this year, as for the Giants, they have potential to be a good team, but I will never admit it because me and my buddy argue back and forth (He is die-hard Giants and I am diehard Bills)

is a total stats league, pretty unique I believe?

Our categories are QB yards, QB rating, rushing yards, Yards/carry, receptions, receiving yards, Kicker scoring, touchdowns, Def. points against, Def. yards against.

Category points are 12-1/category depending on the stats above…cumulative throughout the entire year. No Playoffs.

You drafted 3 QB's, 5 RB's, 5 WR's, 2 TE's, 2 Kicker's, 2 Def's, and 1 extra RB or WR. Started, 1 QB, 2 RB, 2WR, 1 each of Kicker, TE, and Def, and 1 extra either RB or WR...per week. The draft was round-robin worst finishing team picked 1st then down the line, to finisher picks last in the 1st round, but 1st in the 2nd round, and back again.

12 teams total...1 year keepers (4 for non-money finishers, 3 for money guys)...pretty fun.

Any FF league is fun.. but man yours is like impossible to score yourself..
With all them numbers you have to have a phd. in math

We go QB 4 pts for TD 1pt every 75 yds. -1 pt INT
RB 6 pts for TD rush/rec. 1pt every 25 yards total (rush and Rec.)
WR same
TE same
K 1pt PAT , 3 pt FG , 5 pt FG 50 yds +
DEF/Sp. Teams 6pts for TD 2pt for saftey 1pt INT/sack 10pts shut out , 3 pts for giving up only a FG

I think thats it ..nice and simple

E. A. G. L. E. S.

I went to Penn State at the same time Collins did so I am partial- He was better in College. Isn't George going to be a back up?

Seriously- Cowboys will get 1 year out of TO if he plays this year. Bledsoe will never get a ring and will be on his back most of the year. The O-line needs help. Only bright spot on offense is Terry Glen.

EC- your crazy if you think the gwomen will take it all this year. lol Manning needs a least another year or two but they will be tough.

Thank god the pats dinesty is done.

I can't wait to see how Indy does without James.

Fins have a chance.

If the Cheifs defense ever steps up they would be unstopable.

Denver will be good again as well.

NFC East will be tough. Its about time the rest of the teams caught up to the EAGLES... or did the EAGLES digress down to their level? The birds will make the playoffs.

I would like to see N.O. do well this year. They have a shot with Drew Brees but need a D.

John Matusak, Ben Davidson, Ted Hendricks, Jim Otto...the list goes on and on of great players who were also great "characters".. How could anyone not love the Raiders???

Kerry Collins??? Last Giants game I went to a few years back the Redskins pounded the Giants in the brutal cold. Collins sucked so badly that he was booed for most of the game until he got hurt. Then the fans gave him a standing O when he was carried off the field for leaving. I couldn't believe the Raiders took him..

Players getting millions of dollars to play a game, and we have working folks
making a pittance for busting their azzes. When a sportsperson makes more
than the President per year, that says something about our society eh? I had
to laugh today, I remember when I was playing college ball, if we did good
(i.e. a leveling hit that would rattle some guys cage) we'd get an extra
steak at dinner. Shoulda tried to go on and make those millions! LOL!!

But, I don't want to start something here. It's been a fun thread to read!
And yeah, I miss the old Raiders too, still dig the Steelers and Green Bay.

Anybody else on here play college and/or pro ball? I played for the Univ of Wyoming back in the 70's. Offensive right tackle and special teams (headhunters) and enjoyed my steaks. :D
