Well right on "que"- could it be 3 years in a row?
I wouldn't count on it though - 2000 miles away?
It could easily go 1-2 hundred miles either way and have little if any rain for us. That being said there's a bunch of fish in 40-50' of water just off the SR- it won't take much to bring in the 1st decent run of 06'.

I think this weekend would be perfect. You want to intercept that first blast of fish that run the river when it's rising. If Pulaski gets more than a couple inches the river will most likely blow high sky (more than 1000cfs) for a few days because they must keep the upper res. at a specific level until November. So, your best shot at easy, uneducated fish would be during the peak of the storm when the river is rising, but has not yet blown her banks. If you wait until the river recedes, the fish will be more spread out and harder to find.
Of course this storm could not be anything and then nothing will happen. But the majority of the population thinks the main bulk of fish won't run until mid October. Hopefully the crowds will be down and you'll have some elbow room, and with a little luck, more than a few cooperative fish.

Each of the greatest days I've ever had regarding fishing has come on the verge of a high pressure front from an approaching storm! The greater the storm the better and more aggesive the fishing. I once hooked a 5lb (approx) smallie and on the way up in crystal clear H2O I watched a huge pike drill it repeatedly. I would have thought it common until it kept happening. That night a tropical storm blew out power in 2 counties!

Even w/out a storm they will be running the water this Friday. I'd GUESS that w/ the fish knocking at the front door we'll see a decent surge of fish moving through.

They have already screwed up the path a few times. Last week oil went up to $75 per barrel because they said it was going to strengthen and go into the Gulf and possibly hit New Orleans again. Instead it is crapping out over Cuba with winds down to 35-40 and oil is down below $70. Lets hope it stays there and prices at the pump continue to fall. It was 2.77 in Jersey last night. The weather channel girl was very excited last night about possible tornadoes in Ohio. It seems like they can't wait for another disaster. It's raining pretty hard down here now and if they are now right about the path of the storm will there be anything left of it by Sunday or Monday? No one really knows but the salmon know when it 's time to go!
