My buddy owns one and I have seen "Sir Valentino" in action many, many times. If you have the beans to spend, they are great products.
Got a buddy who has the old style Valentine.. Good reel, its a multiplier and a knuckle buster like the Martin 72... Drag holds up better than the 72.. 72s always smoked the clutch when you were into fish good... Caught many a Salmon with his........

Got one for my wife nearly 7-years ago now and she has used it once!!! back then they went for around $215...(the planetary plus version)...now they go for over twice that.
Still, it's probably the best reel I have fished to date. Don't you just hate it when you get the wife a sweet piece of machinery and you have to "borrow" it every chance you get??? LOL  Best part was, all I had to do was write a 30-page expenditure overage report for a former employer to get it!!! Just have to love the barter system at times!!!
