It's getting a little old now. By the way, when you start funding a site on your own personal dime then you can determine what keeps it light hearted and family friendly. To me there isn't much merit in creating a community just so a bunch of people can swear on the net. The door was open to come and go as you please if you didn't like how I choose to run the site. No one forced anyone to be here.

I wished your bunch nothing but luck and have since... I guess some people can never grow up.

Gotta throw my two cents in on this one.. for what it's worth.. i actually feel very comfortable over at the **************** site. The guy's there are actually quite knowledgeable and are extremly helpful with info. Unlike a few on this site who think they know everything and it's their opinion or nothing. I actually know quite a few guy's who have left this site because of a couple know-it-all's on here. I guess that both sites have there good point's and bad, but for some reason feel that if you stir the pot here you will be banned. Over at **************** you can actually state a opinion,argue it and then go on. My feeling is if you did that here you would be on a #$%* list for a very long time. Just my opinion though...

Now onto this ****! This is not what PMR was suposed to be about. It was created so that people could say what they wanted and express opinions on anything without having to do it with in the confines of a family orentied site such as salmon crazy. Cecil a valued member(not a admin or mod) at PMR is speaking on his on behalf and on his own. This was not the idea of any staff members of PMR! On a personal note Cecil you are still the Fing man!

To the SC moderators: You founded and manage a site to provide fishing and outdoor life information etc in a family* friendly environment - welcoming proffesionals to post, but not directly promote their product or business.

We can all find examples of these rules being broken, but in general this is the best guiding principle of SC - its one of the main reasons this site has had the explosion of success it has.

Cecil's post is a test. A test of your wilingness to stick to SC policies.
Disregarding Cecil's short-bus antics and his history within the site, his beginning post violates that general guideline - blatantly promoting another product.

In the end you can do whatever you want; you own it, maintain it, and pay for it - IMHO you can do whatever you want. But if you are going to be consistent, SC should no more allow the promotion of PMR than they do any other product.

* We're talking real family, not Beaver Cleaver style - but definitely not the online version of "Deliverance" that PMR provides.

To the all the users:

PMR fills a niche in the market - either you like the philosophy or not, and some of the b()ll sh*t is funny and informative. But enough already. Either you like the site or you don't.
