Hello, I'm new to the site and I love it! Very cool and informative.. Last year was my 1st trip to the SR and I'm hooked, can't wait until October. Myself and few other guys are coming up in October and I'm trying to find a good place to stay overnight. We might be staying in a camper so I'd like to know a campsite or another good place to stay thats a happy meduim between cost and proximity to the water. Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance for your help.

I have been taking my travel trailer up for a full week for the past 3 years. I stay at Brennan Beach. It's about $25 for full hook-up, including cable, and because it's so big, you never have a problem getting a site. They have a keyed entry system, so you can come and go as you please ($20 refundable deposit for the card key). It's very clean and very quiet. It takes about 5 minutes to get to the DSR from the camp ground. The one draw back is that they close around the 15th of Oct., for the year. You can reach them at 315-298-2242, if interested.
