My sainted wife and I are looking to do a little camping around the Ithaca area. Maybe a night in a hotel followed by a couple days of camping.
Anyone have any suggestion for any places to either backpack in to a lean-to or other backpacking/camping areas around Ithaca?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanx in advance:worthy:

Sounds like a great plan. As you come into Ithaca on 13, There are two state parks One is Buttermilk state park and the other is just before you come to buttermilk. If you see the Home Depot You have gone too far. If that doesn't work for you keep going on Rt. 13 Right though town And get off on the exit for Auburn which is Rt 34 north, go under the bridge, Turn to the left, your looking for Stwert Park. There is a info center there they can help. Enjoy the area.

You can camp at spruce row campground or Toughanock state park as well. Both areas are on the West side of Cayuga lake.
