Was in the shower this morning at 4am like every other %^$#% work morning when out of the corner of my eye I catch a glimpse of a small bug clinging on to the shower door. Most people would just squash it and send it down the drain but us flyfishers are a totally different breed. This wasn't just any small bug, it was a size 16 caddis I was taking a shower with! Not sure how it made it's way into my shower but it sure got my blood pumping. Been seeing a few caddis on the stream but the sulphers have been much stronger. Won't be much longer till the caddis are in full swing! I love the caddis hatch, probably my favorite. Probably because the first trout I ever caught on one of my own flies was on a coastal deer hair caddis. Maybe I am as delirious as my wife claims but I am sure few of you share my madness lol.

Toolie, I was on the upper Lackawanna the other day and there were some caddis coming off!! My suggestion is, stock your tub and the next time you shower, bring the 4wt!!!:D

I have a feeling that poor caddis fly will be scarred for life after that experience. Caddis fly's everywhere are now on the look out for that weirdo who fishes with the yellow coat!..lol
