So far it's been a good one fishingwise :D ... I blew out of work a few hours early yesterday to hit a local lake. We got out on the water, got the planer boards out and got our four lines out there just in time for the storm to hit... No big deal, I always have good luck fishing in the rain.... Then BAM!!!! Lightning smacks down on the other end of the lake... About a 1/4 mile away... :eek: :bolt: The animal that was fishing with me wanted to stay out :crazy: , but at that point I said "F this, see that 7' steel pole at the front of the boat that those planer boards are running off from??? Lets pick up and go to shore til this blows by..." So after 15 or so minutes of fishing we headed back off the lake, sat in the pickup for a half hour till the big cloud blew by and it calmed down to a slow steady rain, at around 6pm.... Then we proceeded to get rigged back up and trolled back and forth across a blown out inlet til 8pm, picking up one or two lakers on rapalas each time :woohoo:... We ended up boating 9 lakers, the smallest around 14" and the biggest 25", in 2.5 hours... Nothing huge, but better than catching nothing... :D
