Was back a the Susqy chasin those walleyes again. Night fishing is great, nice and peaceful. Just enough light from the bridge to see a little of what you are doing. Was standing on the edge of the river where I lost my cell a few days ago and what catched my eye but a glimmer of silver, bent down to see what it was and could make out the faceplate of my cell. Rolled up the sleeves and dug her out. Put it on shore and it was frozen solid. Doubt if it will ever turn on again lol... The river is coming doen and clearing up and the bite is turning off so looks like it might be time to head north for some steel.

If it was turned off when it went in the water, you may be okay. I dropped a Nokia phone in saltwater, let it dry out over a couple of days and got it to work after cleaning the circuit board with WD40, a soft bristel tooth brush and paper towels. Since it was out of warranty anyway, I decided to see what was inside of it and decided to clean the corrosion out of it to see what would happen. Used that phone for another 3 years.

My Cousin dropped her phone in lake alice up in waterport. It was only in the water for like 5 mins but it turned right on and works great still.

Toolie...maybe you could used it for an over-sized slinky rig by putting it inside a nylon and tying it on your leader when the SR is running at like 2500 cfs!!! LOL :D

... and, if you go for bass, or back for walleyes, you could put it on vibrate and call yourself ... likely as good as those rattle trap lures ... However, I ran my car remote through the washer a few years ago and it was never quite as reliable as before the dunk :D ... Cliff
