Its portiguee not spanish, and those fish are found in brazil. It pays to have lived in southern MA some times, I can understand about six words. LOL

They are members characidea family, commonly found from south america to texas. They are related to the tetras you can buy at the pet store. The species is Brycon cephalus but have no english common name, and I cant even think of how to spell the portaguee name.

Nope, you are right they are carp. Just about all carp in the US are from Asia, so that name is kind of general. They are bighead carp
