Just wondering how you are doing with the Bow this year.
Hope you get a good Buck, but I know it won't match your
results during rifle season last year.

I have a lot of family in south eastern Saskatchewan, did he have a native guide? I have 3 different cousins that guide in that area for deer. You dad should of waited for a big boy, you Americans firing at the first buck you see!!:D

Yearling class dear around my area way more than that. A couple of guys I work with have taken nice bucks - 176 lb 8 pt and a 174lb 8pt. Also some guy got a 220 lb 12 pt monster, those are some deer.

I'm not saying you Americans don't have a lot of nice deer, but up here we have a lot less hunting presser, and lot deer will die of old age. In western Canada its not about how much a deer weighs its the rack quality!! Ever thing is looked at for Pope and Young or Boone and Crockett scores, and they don't call an 8 pointer an 8 pointer, thats only a 4 pointer and when you here a 6 or even 10 pointer you can do the math. Circumference measurements range between 6 4/8 and 4 4/8 inches and with averages well over 5 inches, thats what Canada western bucks are all about, and you throw in a few "Bush racks" thats where dreams come from! People pay thousands of dollars to come and shoot a buck of a lifetime and end up shooting the first medum size deer on the first day, you just have to wait and there's a bigger one coming, and lesson to your guide if he tells you to shoot then shoot, and if he tells to wait then wait!! you americans blow you loads to quick!! ;)

A friend of mine that works for Hunters Specialties (Matt Morret) told me one time about up in Canada it is not if you will kill a big buck it is WHAT big buck do you want to kill. He got many 140 class buck up there and that is a normal deer. When I say 140 I am not talking pounds. Inches of mass on the antlers like HamJ said! I want to go! How bout hooking a few SC members up HamJ?? :D

Ever seen the racks on an Adirondack whitetail, they are not small racks. alot of deer around here die of old age to. the 12 pointer had an awsome rack, 5 plus inch drop tines on it.
