I saw these at the Gander Mt. in Rochester the other day as we needed to waste some time before we could go back and see Nate at the hospital.

I always tie my singles up in small sacks and have had a hard time keeping salmon eggs from going bad. Thought this would be easier in the long run but my question is how good can they be if they are cured so much that you can stick a hook through them with out popping them???

Float have you ever made your own singles with a muriatic mix?messing with the times in it will get you a good hookable usable semi milking king egg easily put on a #16 quality hook works great..Ray

Yes they are "supposed to be" real eggs?!?!
No I have never tried any muriatic mixes before. I like the looks of the natural transluscent egg and using different colors of netting for different situations.

These just peeked my curiousity, "These single eggs are designed to milk natural egg oils while being fished on a salmon egg hook", "They are water activated and will soften and clarify yet are durable as they are being fished." and I just wondered if anyone has tried them to tell me if they actually "clarify" and become that more transluscent looking real egg I like so much.

I just love single eggs. From late fall through winter, they are my "go to" bait.

Hey skein,
What's anise oil?? I heard you mention it earlier and meant to ask you.
and in what form does phosphoric acid come in for curing?
I just ran some fresh Brown eggs through some of that shake n cure by altlas and I was disappointed to say the least. They were patially skeined and came out real waxey/gooky.
Haven't got up to harvest a hen king this year so I'm gonna have to go with these the way they are.
By the way I spoke w/Joceylyn @Angler outfitters and they seem like a top notch dealer. My Islander is on the way!

I love them. I have had great luck with them. Someone posted a pic of a single hook in a single egg. That what I use these for. I have no doubt that some of the cures you guys use work better, but I havent had a chance to try them yet
I have used them and they do clarify when drifted a few times. A friend brought them to Naples last Dec and when my usual jigs and spikes didn't keep up with his eggs I bummed some. They work!!!!! I still like uncured eggs in mesh better and I have had awesome success with your single egg sacs but I will say those singles from the fridge at gander work well.

Thanks for the input guys!!! tod, you told me what I was looking for, I will pick some up next time I am up at Gander. With my limited fishing this fall and limited time in general these will work for me so I dont have to tie any up :D .
I am also going to pick up some of those happy eggs, uh I mean exude eggs and give them a try!!!
tod - I have heard some reports on the tribs down here, after things settle down from all this rain things might start getting HOT!!!
