Fishing was spectacular YESTERDAY. Today was like pulling teeth and when I left at about 11am it had risen 6-7 inchs and was starting to add even more color. With it still raining, although lightly, my QUESS is that she is gone for a while. If you have a plan B I'd go with it.

I concur....yesterday, and even before....that joint was rockin....I'm sure the watershed got a little more water than she can handle by this afternoon. Probably just start to clear as the next big weather system shows up....

KK&R did you fish Sat morning and if so where did you start the day. I was on the east side just up from the bridge between the 2 big rocks fishing a spey rod. Once they turned on about 9 am I caught steel on three different rods fishing 5 different ways. Spey with shot, spey with sink tip, one hand 5# with shot, Drift rod dredging bottom(by far the most productive) and watching for my bobber to go down. It was so easy I think G could have caught 1 to break the jinx.
Yesterday on the other hand I worked 5 hours to hook 7 landing 4 but there were fewer fishers so I worked more water and rested water at that to get them.

Although year in and year out the Genny produces some enormous fish(my personal best steelie pushed the 44 inch mark) so far this year the numbers have been back up and the size smaller. Lots of 3-5 pounders with a sprinkling of mid teens mixed in. Lets hope the numbers stay up this year unlike last when after mid Nov it was the exception rather than the rule to catch steel.
