This retired gentleman (Ian Forbes) from Vancouver Island, BC shared one of his fishy pics from a very recent trip on another site I belong to.

Since the Lake O Steelie season is upon us, I just thought this one would get the SC Fishhead's juices flowing:

yeah it definatly looks too good to be true doesnt it,, perfect pose. like its mounted, most likley photoshopped.

I don't personally know the guy, but I don't think he would pull a quicky like that. He travels the world from Asia to Canada to New Zealand and is published in various Fly Fishing magazines..... I'll give you guys the link to his thread if you'd like to ask him.

I doubt it's a mounted fish--the pec fin is pressed against the body.

Is it me or does that steelhead looks Photoshoped in?

I've taken some pictures that a very photoshopped look to them naturally. It usually happens when the fill-in flash is used during periods of waning light... not dusk, but not bright daytime either. You can still see the surroundings pretty well but the subject comes off with sort of a supernatural glow.

The stiffness of the fish does make me wonder... you'd think it would sag more when being held for a picture. And I don't see any sign of reflection from the flash on the water.

LOL. Yeah, that picture does have a weird "photoshop" feel to it. But knowing Ian, I doubt it is. He just has a knack for having pictures of himself that look "fake". LOL.

Onto BC fishing. That's actually a smaller looking fish. They do come looking like that though up in BC. Have some pretty cool coloration to them. Probably all the traveling they do to get into some of those systems. I LOVE fishing BC. Just a bit "pricey" to fish (all the tags you need really gets you). Wish I could get a few of my buddies fish pics up here. Locked up on his board. But they caught some damned nice ones up on the Skeena last year and this year (wish I could've went).
