hey everyone hope your fishing has been great


i had a question for you'll about an egg pattern i have herd about. Its called the battle egg. Has anyone ever herd of this pattern of fish it? I would like to see what one looks like if that is possible any help you be awesome. Thanks guys and tight lines

Ive tied it before you can find it in "Flies for Steelhead" by Dick Stewart & Farrow Allen, I highly recomend this book.

its an egg pattern tied by pulling yarn or wool over the hook several times. The fly eggs up with a vailed look. I'll see if I can find you a pic.

Its not a bad fly. Although I dont tie it often anymore. You could fill a box in acouple hours

thanks but a quick question im still a little hazy on actually how to tie the fly and the best materials to use.
