Pontoon boat

Have any of you guys fly fished for salmon with a pontoon boat? And is a pontoon to small to use in the Estuary at night?

I use to use mine all the time on the SR, its a great tool to use as a taxi from spot to spot to cover alot of water. It's not to small for fishing the estuary but you might want to invest in a patch kit and carry a pump with you, that down there is combat fishing 101..

I would suggest using it up river, a great float is from Pineville to RT 2A, you will be able to get into some spots where there will be some solitude. If you don't have a shuttle car, what I use to do is chain my mountain bike up to a tree, float down river and ride it back up to my truck. You can always try to be at the boat ramps around 1-3pm and hitch a ride back with a guide which is sometimes possible too..
