Planning to be on the river beginning October 16. Is this too late for the Salmon run? With reports of good action already, will the run be over by then?

If you know there cycle you should be able to find them in concentrated #'s in certains areas of the river, they will be mostly dark fish.

There should be salmon,steel and plenty of leaves in the water.

The salmon should be good up to around the 25th (more so in the fly zones), then sporadic for up to a month following.
