I'm courious to know what SC community thinks.

I like Drennan flouro for strength but in the low clear water I like Frog's Hair flouro.

Drennan is really strong but if you look at the diameter, it's 4lb has the diameter of some 8LB leaders.

Frog's Hair is really really nice stuff but it's so darn expensive. But, there has been more than one occasion when I switched to it in the winter and the float started going under.

Seaguer Floro 6lb for steel both fall and winter. Never felt the need to go to 4lb in the winter. I run Cabela's Pro Line 8lb for the Salmon. This is cheap, and I don't feel bad retying a new leader after a few hookups. Salmon can and will destroy line fast.

I did well last year for steelies with Frog's Hair Fluro 3X & 4X. I had to keep
checking it for nicks and cuts, but I think all Fluro's are that way. My 2 cents.

Been using Cabelas brand and really like it and you get more than the others and it is cheaper.

Funny you are posting this as me and a couple of friends were just talking about this. I never thought of it but Cabelas can put their label on any fluro out there and call it their own, so whos to say it is not junk like vanish??? We were under the impresion that is was Seaguar because the labels were similar, now they have changed the label and who knows what type it is?!?! Dose anyone know how you can find out who makes their Fluro??? Maybe I will just order the Seaguar.

Oh yeah - I agree with Goat, I go with 6#. If using fluro I dont see the need to go all the way down to 4#, the heavier the line the better as you get the fish in faster causing less stress!!!

drennan flouro. It's expensive, but it's crazy strong. I use 3-6lb 3# for little creeks, (it proably tests out at 5 though) and 6 for big water
