hi guys heading to salmon river this weekend can you fish at night, also will worms serve me any pupose

No fishing at night on the SR, or any of the tribs durring the run (at least as far as I know). I have had some of my best days (in the spring, and on smaller tribs) steelheading using worms and other assorted unconventional bait. Not night crawler, but red worms, the wee little ones. As for durring the salmon run, I don't know if they would be all that effective. I personally have never tried them under those conditions. At the very least you would be likely to pick up chubs and small trout.

Fish for them Read the archives man. We have TONS of info here. How do you fish?? Fly fishing is about the most common way to fish for them.
