A group of guys at work are looking for a Lake Ontario charter to wet some lines before the river run. Looking to use the Labor Day weekend. Does anyone have any recommendations or know who may be available. Know its kind of late notice, but figured it wouldn't hurt to try in here.
Thanks, Jetdrive

Jet-
Here's the guy I work for- http://www.charters.portontariotackle.com/
He's been around forever-25years
he owns a tackle shop -so he has the BEST of everything- Of the dozens of Cpts. I've worked for he's at the top of the list.
I don't know what he has available for that weekend but he may have a day open. Give him a call

Fair Haven to Henderson Harbor at this point in the game Craydaddy. I told these guys there would probably be a lot of captains booked for the holiday weekend and we may have a tough go of getting one.
Thanks for the heads up Shane. I'll look into the website and give him a call. Is this the guy Dan works for?

If he is booked some other good charters would be T-K in Oswego, Saiff in Henderson, High adventure (Troy Creasy) in Oswego. Good thing about T-K is if Kevin is mating you can learn a ton from him. Aside of Gottum and Paul ;) he is probably one of the most knowledgable guys around. Gonna be a tough weekend to book a trip but the good news is that time of year no matter where you go the fish will be staging close.

Jet -
Dan works for Redline - who's from Vt. He just started with him last year.
Dan used to work for Larry - Sea Fury - I also worked for Larry about 6 years ago.
I now work for George Metzler aka Good Time or Port Ontario charters.
I'm not sure but I think toolie meant Kev D aka CDrift works for Jim Staves of Hat Trick- They are by far the most booked boat on this side of the lake.

I emailed and got the fella at work to check out your suggestions. I talked to RainDancer in Fair Haven and he has an opening on the 3rd. Told these guys they may have to jump on it. Done my part. I would have booked for them, but didn't have their credit card number! :D

There's a guy in Henderson Harbor I've used a bunch of times, http://www.jon-boycharters.com/. He knows the Eastern Basin (chartering for 25 years) like the back of his hand, and has booking spots since he's in semi-retirement and really isn't advertising.

I guess they got a booking on a boat called the Fishdoctors.
