Woohoo!!! the state of PA will be delivering our club (Brandywine Trout & Conservation Club) 14,000 fingerlings on wednesday the 27. Myself and a few other dedicated souls will be raising them into 12"-14" footballs for next year's trout season. Hopefully we won't get flooded multiple times like last year.
Our club acquired another small hatchery/springhouse a month ago as well. The extra space will alleviate a tremendous amount of stress on the little guys in all of our hatcheries/springhouses since we can spread them out a bit better.
Last year's growth rates were outstanding since we upgraded to a higher protein feed that floats a little longer rather than sinking to the bottom. Now they have some more space too!!!
2006 is looking great for the East Branch of the Brandywine!!!
Please help support your local fishing, hunting, and conservation clubs wherever you may be located. Sacrifice a day in the field to volunteer some time. Be a sportsman!! Help protect and take care of what's left or it will be gone forever!!
