Last night me and a buddy went catfishing in the Big D, around 1045pm!! till 530am I caught 3 cats and a $hitload of eels,my buddy got 3 also, the 1 cat was almost 9lbs the other 2 were 3-4lbs all were caught on fresh sunfish chunks..lol..the eels were caught on nightwalkers biggest was about 30" my friend kept all the eels smokes some and pickles the rest:eek: ,,,Well i wish you guys a great salmon season its coming soon>))> EC

those cats and eels are aton of fun!!!! we fish for them at night on the susquehanna but we use chicken livers! sounds like you had a good time!!!

My buddy does pretty good on the cats in the schuykill with his fly rod. He got a couple that were around 10 lbs this year on a crayfish pattern. He got one hog carp that was pushing 20lbs on the same pattern.

I fish cats all year (unless there is ice) in the big O all over from Fulton down to the harbor. Went last night for about four hours. Caught 14 ranging from 3 up to about 12 pounds. All on cut bait. Anybody interested drop a PM, I've got quite a list of spots that are quite good (all fishing from boat). Cut sunfish and chubs are my favorite on a 4/0 Gami circle hook.
