Had a fever Wednesday Thursday and Friday. Felt better Sat and Sun, but still felt a little "weird." Went to the doctor Monday and as soon as she saw a few rashes on my back and the bite, she knew it was Lyme Disease.

So, I'll be on Doxycycline, 2 pills a day for the next 30 days.

Anybody else got the Lyme?

Not totally it goes into remission.Was on pills or IV for a year.

I have it. Begining of Stage 2. They say 30 days man but I was anti-biotics for 16 months. Make sure you get it tested every year wether you doctor thinks it is nessecary or not. I had a relapse of it and that put another 9 months of anit-biotics in me man. Not fun!

You never get rid of it? What happens in later stages?

If you catch it in stage one or very early in stage 2 it can be treated and sent in to remission. If you wait it can leave perminant damage and ever in 90% of stage 3 death. It is very similar to the reaction you get from anthrax and attacks the same nervious system as venom from a snake. Once you get it in to remission be prepared to get the joint cream out for a while. My elbows hurt for a long time.

Not to scare ya man just the truth. I had it very bad.

Thanks guys!!

I got it pretty early in stage 1. It's early enough that it might not show up in the blood test, but the doctor knows it's lyme because they see it a couple times a week in their office. I'm confident and staying positive, but I am also aware of the reality of the disease.

No major aches or pains yet, but only time will tell.

My father had to have a IV mainlined into his heart last aug because of undetected lyme. Even after he went to the doctor and had them keep him for it, because my brother got it right after being away on a trip with him.

Kept on top of it and dont be discourgaged because you feel like ****.
