As long as we are talking improbable tourney results how about texas tech and the general returning to the sweet 16. For those of you who like the fat line Mr. Robert Montgomery Knight is also a first rate flyfisherman, but I wouldn't go pheasant hunting with him.

Not my intent to bring up the dead....but....Beating Syracuse was the BIGGEST thing that's EVER happened in Vermont sports history. I'm not bragging about that, I'm just offering some reference to you all.

On a side note: We won't be back to the dance for at least 6 years.

That's funny. Having to play Vermont was one of the lowest points in Michigan State history. I'm only kidding. I am an MSU grad, though. I have to have some kind of bragging before we get beat by Duke.

Hmmmm…….good question Toolman!!!

I’m trying to think….boy, that’s a tough one!!!

VT has produced a few major league baseball players (no one you would know)
VT has produced 0 NFL players
VT has produced 0 NBA players (which might be reversed if Coppenrath makes it)
VT has produced a few very good NHL’ers---John Leclair & Martin St Louis(although St Louis is actually from Canada)

As you can see, VT is pretty slim in National sports recognition, so this win was monumental to say the least!

If I was forced to come up with a #2, it would be John Leclair’s 2 OT goals in the 1993 Stanley Cup finals for Montreal.

On the political stage…..you think PA is liberal??? VT makes PA look like Rush Limbaugh. We’ve elected and re-elected the only self-proclaimed Socialist Congressman (Bernie Sanders) And we graced the Nation with Howard Dean :o …..(which I am truly sorry for)
