Just wondering at what flow does the Genny fish best?

At a 45 degree tilt. Head back, tongue down against the lower lip and pour slowly. That's how I like my Genny :D !!!

LMAO - good one...
The only thing I ever heard about the Gennessee River is it is either chocolate milk unfihable or it is good to fish...Hopefully someone will chime in on this place..I have never fished it.
be careful where you leave your vehicle...I have heard some bad things from others about vehicle breakins.

I prefer the spey rod so take this from that angle. I like her as low as I can get her, 1000-1300cfs is great for me. I can reach shore to shore and fish the water column top to bottom without have to resort to CanD.
For someone into drift fishing if she is under 2000 and clear give it a shot it can be great fishing and the higher the flow makes it harder to land them . It can be a real gas. I have taken fish in poo poo brown water at higher levels following the same methods mention it the high water thread but success rate deminishes greatly with the color of the water.
I like the genny when she is low, or dropping. As for color I like it green to clear. The genny is an interesting river in that it is so long that many times when every watershed in the state is high and muddy she can be still low and clear however when she does turn brown she stays that way for a long time even after every other watershed is green or clear. As for how to fish it Stackmend uses a spey rod and I use my pin both of us have had great success with these methods. Please be careful where you park because the access to the river is in a shady neighborhood. When I go I empty my truck the nite before and only bring what I am going to use at the water with me to discourage leaving anything enticing with in view. I have never had anything stolen from my vehicle but I do know a few people who have. Once in the river basin you would think you are in a very rural area because you can't see any of the city from the waters edge but getting there you wouldn't believe there was a river any where near you.
