I second Finman's motion...
Are you going to put a sail on your boat or just row, row, row??
That Big O has not been at a decent level in so long...I recall me & the Finman went there one day a couple months ago and just BS'd with a guy that had the only slot to hook a fish - but impossible to even attempt to land one.
Good luck Shane...

You should of been here with the big water!!!!! Every day the water drops the fishing gets slower and slower. I think alot of the steelhead are dropping back down the river. No signs of new fish!!!!!!!!

LMAO - THe Scriba Town Inn... Several years ago a buddy and me got a room at the Ramada Inn at Oswego, and somehow wound up at that bar.
After hours of some pretty hard partying, I wound up with a promise from a lady I could not pass up,but I had to first take my unconscious buddy back to the room. I still remember carrying his limp body in my arms, sneaking down the back hall to the elevator and pushing the button to go to the 4th floor. The elevator door opened and there was an old couple - staring at us...
The only thing I said was "Tough Day on the River"... The old guy laughed, his wife was not amuzed... I dumped him on the bed and exited stage left back to the bar... (After that night - I renamed him Lightweight!!!)
The good old days. Thanks for the memories.

Now if that's not the Nutty Professor calling the Kettle black..LMAO
Hey Nutty, that Blurred Memory I shared with you was from back in my "Get to Know Oswego County Up Close & Personal Days" when I first started fishing up that way about 7 years ago.
These days I just sort of hang out next to the wood stove, watch the snow fall, tell far-fetched stories with crazy cartoon characters, and contribute to a certain person's NY pension one nickel at a time....
I think I know who that person is round here;)

It sure would be nice if the hoards of meathunters that congregate at the dam at lower water levels would heed your advice. Everyone is entitled to their legal limit, but lots of guys work their way around that rule.
The only downside for most folks now (especially out of staters) is with the Salmon River being S L O W as of late, and the levels in the Big O under 10 as of this a.m. , hit it before the weekend or else you will encounter Thunderdome come Sat & Sun - especially the higher up you go...
