The L.E. bands are starting to set up---be carefull on the roads. You can get off 81 at exit 30 or 31 and take 11north right into the village to avoid the white knuckle experience that can happen from exit32 on up.

The reports say squalls well north of Syr. I'm 16 mi south of Pulaski and is snowing right now.I don't get local Pulaski---my Weather Chan is from Fulton, but on wixt rader it looks like a band is starting, also there are bands set up off the lakes to the west----just follow the line over. They never predict the BIG one--the bands set up and stay stationary and whoever's under them gets screwed if the winds don't wiggle them around a little.

Thanks for that tip Metal..
I have had my share of white knucklers after passing Oneida Lake on my way up to Pulaski Exit...
I will heed your advice and take Rte 11 next time I see them dark grey clouds ahead of me....
It's hard to get a grip on the rod handle after clenching a steering wheel (and your teeth) for an hour!!:D

Yup....Cicer, that's my exit. We always seem to just miss the squalls but as soon as you drive past our exit you're in the thick of it. Can't say I've ever taken 11 up to Pulaski but it must be better than 81N at 6am when all you see are flakes coming at ya at 70MPH....

Lake Effect...........................I thought it is Gods way of keeping the people from NJ and PA out of our state....................just kidding winter is here now and cold temps and snow squalls are predicted. Take extra care and be safe out there............... 8 months till the salmon start..time to bunker in and tie flies.
At least PA has a Cabela's................................keep warm -find a 300 lb. woods woman and snuggle away....warmth in the winter and shade on the boat during the summer.........
