just curious...how many of you folks have sent bill culligan of the nys dec a message regarding the 1 steelhead limit on lake ontario? i did....

sent mine - along with a suggestion to post signs about the 1 steelhead trib limit notice along the tribs and rivers to inform all fisherpeople who don't read the reg book.

got a positive repsonse back.

My first post on this site. I sent an email yesterday and am awaiting a reponse. It seems a if it is taking longer than the first few people had to wait. I hope that is because trib fishers are sending alot Bill's way not that the trollers are filling his computer.

Below is the reply I received. I sent the message on Monday at 8:46 and got a reply at approx. 10:30am. My guess is he's getting a lot of email. I've seen the proposal posted on several websites:

XXXX: Thank you for your comments supporting the proposed changes to
Lake Ontario creel limits. We will be discussing this proposal with the
general public and interested groups over the next several months. I
assure you, your comments will be considered as we evaluate this
proposed action.
