Is this true???? :? I seen this posted on TSS.
"Just heard news from Roger (DA LA Lodge)in the Altmar that the reason the water has been running so high is that there was a problem at the power plant. The power plant had to open up some gates to fix the problem. From what I was just told, the problem was with some hydrolic lines and when they were attemptin to fix them today, another large line blew. They are supposedly going to be running the water at 2200 CFS for the next few weeks but are only going to list the flows at 1200CFS to try to help the local economy. From what I was told, the Albion committee met today to approve this. The feeling was the 1200 would keep the waders out of the river but make it seem like the river was still fishable so that people would still travel up to Pulaski and keep the businesses a float. Roger also said that fluid from the plant is leaking into the river and you can notice the oil color in the water up in Altmar. He has not been down river to see if there is any impact. This is really bad news. Hope they get this resolved quickly. "
