The Run Continues to Be Steady With Steelhead On The Way

The salmon season is now in full swing and now we are getting pretty steady reports of the steelhead beginning to show up. The water has remained at 500CFS from the 750CFS it was the past weekend. The current flowcast expires tomorrow night at 9, so we shall see what they do from that point on. I have not heard news that they have begun taking eggs yet, but that may be taking place later this week or early next.

With the temps being cooler and the water being a nice steady flow, we have seen… well a steady run. We are getting new reports of the steelhead starting to show up in decent numbers along with the browns. The kings are runnign from top to bottom. Beds are starting to show upriver with fresh fish continuing to hit the lower river daily. The estuary is still holding fish so look for another few weeks of good king salmon fishing.

The temps look favorable towards a beautiful weekend on the river with sunny warm fall days and cool nights.

Hats… Don’t forget your hats! Please do not wait till the last minute to order your SalmonCrazy hats and sweatshirts! I can’t tell you how many emails/PMs I get the day after I close the order page about trying to get just one or two more orders in. We are using a new vendor and I want to not only get the first orders shipped in a timely manner, but ensure that I do not need to adjust the counts after the order is placed. So I beg you guys, if you want hats or sweatshirts make sure you order ASAP. Click here to access the order page.

Good luck to all of you heading out to the river this weekend. Be safe and keep ‘em tight.

Keep it locked here if conditions change. We will report it first with live Salmon River reports.
