New Coho Run In Progress. Wow! What An Early Season. - Run Alert

Just got word from down low that a new run of cohos are on the move. There are quite a few kings mixed in and even some Browns and Steel! Reports from all sources say fishing has been good this week from top to bottom. We have had quite a few reports of ‘a day made for kings’ lately from many of our members, so the numbers are good for this very early 2008 season.

The boats are still doing decent at in shallow water. Most of the captains say they are waiting on the next big push. It seems the water is quite cool in the river and instead of staging at the mouth they are shooting right up the estuary. The daytime and overnight temps for the next few days are as follows:

  • Wednesday - Day: 62°    Night: 42°
  • Thursday    - Day: 62°    Night: 35°
  • Friday         - Day: 67°    Night: 44°
  • Saturday     - Day: 72°    Night50°
  • Sunday       -  Day: 66°    Night42°

Thursday night has a frost warning. Now that may make things quite interesting.

As always head over to the forums and check out the reportsas they pour in all day. That is the most up-to-date reporting you can get! Click here to access the forums.

I will be bringing you live on the river reports starting Friday morning. Along with that will be our new SCtv video reports. So keep it bookmarked here. No one brings you up-to-the-minute live river reports but SC Nation.
