Record Coho Caught?

Rumor has it that a 34 lb + coho was boated in Lake Ontario in the past few days. It has been supposedly confirmed by the DEC but I still haven't heard direct word yet. The previous record was 33 lbs. 7 oz. caught in August of 1998.

Get The Waders Dusted Off… It’s Salmon Season 2008!

Heading off the work these last few days has made me nothing short of giddy. Why? you may ask... well that's an easy one. In the evenings and mornings its been in the upper 50s all week. Nothing reminds me more of 'roostertails' running up the Salmon River than than a brisk start to the day. George from Trophy Angler and Todd from Strike Zone Charters have been teasing us with the latest reports of salmon on the lake and heading into the river.
