Steelhead Enter The River, While Kings Stay Strong!

Now that the crowds have subsided a bit and the water temps have come down, the Steelhead are beginning to enter the river in some good numbers. I got got an on-the-river report from Finman that he has been doing really well with the Steelies this morning as well as the Kings.

Last week we saw an IFGA record Coho landed in the DSR and a continuous stream of Kings, Cohos and now Chromers. The temps have dropped and rain is on its way again. Little by little the rain is adding up and hopefully the power company will have the flexibility to raise the river a tad soon. Only time will tell so lets hope for rain!

When heading out this weekend keep in mind the one Steelhead limit as well as the slot of 21″. Also remember all of the hard Steelhead conservation work all of us have done in the past 4 to 5 years, and it has directly led to them rebounding in good numbers. Lets keep up the great work and remember we are still mid run with fresh Kings coming in daily. Good luck to all and Keep ‘Em Tight!
